"Get Your House In Order."

If it’s your goal to obtain employment in the Obama Administration, you’d better get ready to make your entire life public knowledge.

To avoid scandal and embarrassment in his administration, President-elect Obama would like to know as much about the prospective employee as possible ranging from past and present parking tickets, employee to family affiliations, to donations ($10,000.00) made over the last (10 years) and beyond.

Now citizens, past Presidents created similar questionnaires to screen prospective cabinet/administration members. What President-elect Obama has done is strengthened the criteria where now there are no “loop holes.”

Yep! A new sheriff has come to town!

If Philadelphia’s politician’s followed this prescription, perhaps they would not be riddled with scandal and corruption on a daily basis. Further, the citizens need to interview all would-be-public office holders. Whatever new initiatives that can be implemented to combat corruption among our city officials must be done ASAP! Our city’s future depends upon it.

When I think of the current disorder and the need to "Get Our House in Order" what comes to mind first is the spiritual conditioning lacking from so many of our elected officials. How soon many forget once sitting in their easy chairs the route of administration. Their arrival to this seat came as a result of either corruption, or an overwhelming response from the voters to back them in their plight toward change. When you ask an addict what the route of administration was for their drug of choice they usually respond that they, drank, smoked, snorted, shot-it, etc. When you ask some of our elected officials how s/he got to their seated position, most will tell you during the swearing-in ceremony and during election time, that it was through the votes of "all you good people". Once seated, there seems to be a case of "brain cramps", because there becomes such an arrogance taht the people no longer matter, only egos. When your "house" is in order, you know without a doubt that you are not the power. The Pledge of Allegiance says it all (for those who take the oath), but do the political pledgers who cover their hearts with the right hand, do so thinking they can hide what is not there, or are they having a heart attack because of what they conceal and portray at the same time. Or, could it be that their right hand really left!In a clockwise motion (use your right hand)rub your stomach, now point your right foot forward and turn it in a counterclockwise motion. My point exactly! Grrrr.
